Huwag Maging Bitter Ocampo

Choose to forgive not because they deserve your forgiveness but because you deserve to live in peace

I do agree! I cannot say I understand exactly what you feel dahil hindi ko naman siya pinagdaanan.

If we are holding on to anger and resentment, then sad to say – you are controlled by someone else.

If you want to be free, don???t choose bitterness.
If you want to live a happy life, don???t choose bitterness.
If you want to grow, don???t choose bitterness.
If you want to have peace of mind, don???t choose bitterness.
If you want to have fulfillment, don???t choose bitterness.
If you want to have joy in your heart, don???t choose bitterness.

Bitterness is a poison. Bitterness kills our joy and steals our peace.

Here are three practical steps to liberate ourselves from bitterness:

FORGIVE.

It’s for your own good. We forgive not because it???s the fair thing to do, but because it???s the right thing to do. Forgiving means leaving vengeance in God???s hand and trusting that He will take care of everything.

MOVE ON.

It???s a process and it will take time to restore everything. But it???s very important for us to step forward and go on with our lives. Don???t let bitterness stop us from growing. Let???s just learn from our experience and move on.

ASK GOD TO HELP YOU.

Let???s commune with God.
Yes, hindi deserving ng ating kapatawaran ang mga taong gumawa ng mali sa atin, but we should remember that we, too, don???t deserve God???s grace and forgiveness, but HE gave it anyway. We can ask God to help us. He listens and He is able to free us from the chain of bitterness.

At the end of the day, we have a choice. We cannot blame other people on why we are bitter because we always have a choice.

THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.

Have you experienced bitterness towards someone?
What’s the result?
Are you ready to break free from bitterness?
