Travel Now, Pulubi Later

July 9, 2016 By Chinkee Tan

Mahilig ka bang mag-travel?
‘Yun bang kapag may nakikita kang travel deals and promos, kaagad mo ito gina-grab?

“Uy, piso fare! Tara na!”
“OMG! It’s a sign!”
“Book lang ng book! YOLO! You only live once.”

If there’s anything that people are really fond of doing today, ito’y walang iba kundi ang mag-travel. I have nothing against people travelling. Maski naman ako, when my schedule permits, sinusubukan kong umalis with my family.

Ibig sabihin, back to zero na tayo dahil naubos na lahat. May kasabihan nga, “travel now, pulubi later”.

FEELING RICH

Feeling lang, pero hindi sa totoong buhay. Here’s the thing:
When we travel, ang gusto pa ng iba ay ‘yung mamahaling accommodation, non-stop food trip, tours, and walang humpay na pagbili ng souvenirs that really eats up all your savings.

LACK OF PLANNING

Meron pang accommodation, pagkain, tour or sightseeing, pocket money, pasalubong, at marami pang iba.

Hayyyy! Nakakalungkot.

WE ONLY LIVE FOR TODAY

…but how about tomorrow?

‘Yung ‘craving’ natin to travel is just temporary, lilipas din iyan.

I know some of you think that saving up for retirement is too early for you. Pero alam niyo, sa lahat ng pwedeng pagkagastusan at pag-ipunan, this must be a top priority. Atleast, you can now start making saving a habit.

Retirement money will give us a comfortable life, kahit na hindi na tayo nagtatrabaho. It also allows us to purely enjoy dahil wala na tayong iniisip na utang. When we save money, we live better.

THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.

Bago bumiyahe, may budget ka ba? Napag-ipunan mo ba ito?
Anong backup plan mo pagkatapos?
Are you ready to travel the road to financial freedom instead?
