Use social media not just for entertainment but for profit.
Sa ayaw man natin o sa gusto, we have to use it
now. Kasi nandito na ang bulk ng mga consumers.
Kailangan nating sumabay sa daloy dahil mahirap
din ang mapag-iwanan. Lalo na kung ang mga
competitions din natin ay nasa social media na rin.
Let say for example, we sell a bag. Hindi na natin
kailangan ipagsigawan ito ngayon. We just post it
in the social media and let the people know it.
We can still use some traditional marketing. But
we have to improve our brand and learn how to
target more customers using social media.
Good thing also about social media, we can start
anytime , anywhere and for free. It is already
available in front of us, we just have to use it.
But we also have to keep in mind our purpose..
FAME vs. FORTUNE
Imagine you have 1K followers on Facebook and then
500 subscribers in YouTube but you can’t make any
profit out of it. Then that is very frustrating.
Some are famous but let’s face it, hindi tayo pwedeng
pumunta sa bank at sabihin: “I-convert ko ung mga
followers ko and subscribers ko in peso.”
Funny it may sound, right? Kahit napakadaming likes
kung mababa naman ang conversion nito, there must
be something wrong in what we are actually doing.
That is why it is very important that we don’t just
draw our customers to our sites but also we have to
connect with them. Know the value of your product.
Know the problems of your customers and help them
by giving solutions. Gagamitin natin ang social media
hindi lang para magbenta kundi para makatulong.
So we have to focus on..
VIDEO vs. VALUE
Ano ang purpose ng paggawa natin ng video? For
entertainment lang ba? Para lang ba sumikat
tayo at makilala? We need to put more value in the video.
Balikan natin yung bag kanina. Ano ba ang halaga ng bag?
Hindi ba para may mapaglagyan tayo ng mga gamit? So ang
focus dapat ay yung specifications ng bag natin.
Ano ang pinagkaiba n’ya sa ibang bag? Waterproof ba
ito? Maganda ba ang quality? Ilan ang compartments nito?
Anu-ano ang pwedeng mailagay? Sino ang target natin?
We have to think like a customer. So kung ako ang customer,
ganito ang mga gusto kong makita sa site. O kaya ito ang
mga hahanapin ko sa social media. That’s how it works.
We need to get the attention of the customers first. We need
to know kung ano ang talagang kailangan nila at gusto nila
from there, hindi mo na kailangan i-sell ang product.
Because the moment na makita ng customers ang halaga
ng product mo at ang maitutulong nito, they will be willing
to buy your product. They do because they understand it.
