Pasalubong Now, Pulubi Later

PARA SA MAHAHALAGANG TAO SA BUHAY MO YOUR PRESENCE SHOULD BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR PRESENTS

Are you an OFW?

PA-IMPRESS

“Uyyyyy, galing ka doon? Yaman!”
“Mahal nito, ah! Salamat!”
“Grabe, ibang-iba ka na talaga ngayon!”

Nakasanayan na ang pagbibigay, sometimes out of thoughtfulness, but also sometimes because people want to be noticed, or they want others to know the destination they travelled to, or what they can afford to buy.

Question is, do they really need this? I don???t think so.

Keep in mind na may regalo ka man o wala, presence is more important than gifts. Presence should be more than enough for the people who care for us and love us.

PAKITANG-TAO

“Uy, you don???t have to do this. Ano ka ba? ‘Kaw talaga!”
“Well, ganito talaga ‘pag malaki na sweldo.

This actually rings true.

Kung meron, thank you.

Simpleng kamustahan, text, tawag, o spending quality time with them – sapat na ‘yun.

Kung walang pera, kung nagigipit, o may iba pang financial obligations na dapat pagtuunan ng pansin, manahimik na lang because we don???t really need to broadcast anything just to prove something sa ibang tao – especially just to impress the people you do not like and give gifts to people you don???t even genuinely like.

THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.

How can we show thoughtfulness and generosity na hindi masyadong gumagastos?
