Madalas ba kayong kumain sa labas?
Lalo na kapag nagkayayaan with the barkadas?
Yakimix, Vikings, o kung ano pang buffet restaurants.
Walang pinapalampas! Pati sa cafés, dinadagsa na rin.
Dahil they are close to our hearts,
it feels like turning them down will also hurt us.
Kaya sa tuwing sila’y nag-iimbita,
kahit pa ang ating mga pitaka
ay mangiyak-ngiyak na, go pa rin tayo ng go!
Later we know, pati yung ipon natin ay nagastos na.
Naku! Ang hirap nito, mga KaChink.

Hindi puro lang tayo oo ng oo all the time.
Kung paano mag-say “no” in a nicest way,
maglakad ng dahan-dahan papalayo
sa mga barkada in case of emergency,
at kung paano mas makatitipid!
LEARN TO STAND ON SAYING “NO!”
Kahit gaano pa kasarap ang grilled varieties
of seafood, international cuisines, pastries and pastas,
kung tayo ay nakapagsabi na ng “NO!” with conviction,
that will be enough. Don’t ever change minds.
Mas lalong masisira ang inaasam-aaam nating beach bod.
Let us become those people
with integrity which starts on our ourselves.
Instead of focusing on the food
and how scrumptious they are,
let us also remind ourselves what consequences we can have for compromising our decision.
ALWAYS TAKE TIME TO MAKE IPON
(Photo from this link)
In areas of our finances,
dapat mas malaki ang nailalaan natin sa ipon.
Pwede naman nating i-schedule
when and where to eat out with friends.
Ang dapat na araw-arawin ay yung pag-iipon natin.
Pwede tayong magtabi nang P10.00 to P20.00
na ihuhulog everyday sa alkansya natin.
O kaya ay P100.00 every week.
It may seem small for now, pero kung gagawin natin religiously
makikita natin yung fruit ng ating pag-iipon.
Ang key for this? We must learn to say “NO”.
“Food is life, but Ipon is Lifer! Kaya ‘pag may nagyaya na naman na kumain sa labas, just say “No”.

THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
- Mas nauuna ba ang pagkain kaysa sa ipon?
- Anu-ano ang pinagkakagastusan ng ipon mo kahit hindi kailangan?
- Kailangan na bang baguhin ang habit na ‘yan?
