“Ang hirap eh!”
“Nakakapagod na!”
“Wala na akong magagawa. I know I did everything.”
Really? Can you really say deep in your heart na ginawa mo na ang lahat? That you are now better than any other people in this world?
Sa totoo lang, bakit hindi pa natin aaminin na we can just be too frustrated or disappointed sometimes?
Staying committed to what you’ve started is probably one of the hardest things to do. But the question is, in this world of uncertainty and challenges, how can we keep our commitments? Here are some of my helpful tips:
THINK BEFORE YOU COMMIT
Before you promise or commit to anything, pray and think through it carefully. Don’t be too quick to commit to something, especially kung hindi mo ito pinag-isipan ng mabuti.
DECIDE WHEN YOU’RE READY
Mahirap mag-commit out of urgency o dahil sa bugso ng damdamin.
Huwag na huwag kang mag-decide when you are in an emotional state. We should not base our decisions on our emotions because it’s unstable and sometimes, deceiving.
DECIDE ON YOUR OWN
Maniwala ka, at the first sign of difficulty, you will quit. When you commit, it should really come from our heart. Because if that’s the case, I’m sure that we cannot keep our commitments.
ASK GOD FOR HELP
We are just human. We are not perfect. We struggle, we commit mistakes, we make wrong choices, and we have weaknesses.
Most of the time, we really fall short sa mga commitments na meron tayo, be it big or small. The good news is, we can ask God for help. We can ask Him to strengthen us, inspire us, empower us, and encourage us, so we can fulfill our commitments.
Because I firmly believe, apart from God, we can achieve nothing.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
Are you currently in a commitment (be it a project, a person, or a thing) that you feel like backing out of?
Why do you feel like giving up on your commitment?
What can you do to keep your commitment and finish the task?
What should you do the next time, so that you won???t end up committing half-heartedly?
