SUPPORTING TOO MANY FRIENDS AND RELATIVES

I get it, we want to help.

Pero hindi lang pera ang paraan para makatulong.

Madami pang ways, kapatid.

It can be emotional support or help them look for additional income.

Pwedeng makatulong sa serbisyo.

Mag-offer na ipag-drive sa pupuntahan niya

Take the time para pakinggan ang mga rants niya

O kaya pick up the tab sa susunod na lalabas kayo.

Whether it’s your time, money or energy

Ibigay lang ang kung ano ang kaya.

HAVING VICES

Sigarilyo

Sugal

Alcohol o shopping.

We go broke kapag bisyo ang hobby

Resulta, mabilis naglalaho ang pera.

Addiction is something we do repetitively.

So it means

We will just spend repetitively too.

Bago pa mag-reklamo kung saan napupunta

ang budget or allowance

I-check muna kung may ginastos tayo

sa ating mga bisyo.

NOT HAVING AN EMERGENCY FUND

We go broke kapag wala tayong emergency fund

*knock on wood*:

  • Kapag mawalan ng trabaho
  • Magkasakit o
  • Magsara ang negosyo

Epekto nito

Wipe out ang savings.

MAKING BAD FINANCIAL DECISIONS

Huwag magpadala sa mga sabi-sabi.

Iwasang maniwala at masilaw agad-agad.

Before making any decisions, and I mean ANY…

Make sure to consult those who knows about it.

Learning from other people’s experiences is the best teacher.

LACKS FINANCIAL EDUCATION

Read books, attend seminars, trainings, or

Find coaches or mentors who can help and  us make wise decisions.

Don’t do it alone.

Consult.

Ask.

“It’s not the money that makes us broke, it’s the lack of knowledge”

-Chinkee Tan, Filipino Motivational Speaker
