EXPECTATIONS

October 19, 2019 By Chinkee Tan

IMAGINATION

“Ang ganda naman n’ya. Grabe parang ‘di tumatanda.”
“Wow ang ganda d’yan. Parang ang sarap ng pagkain.”
“Gusto kong bumili rin n’yan. Ang laki ng pinayat n’ya.”

Most of the time, whenever we imagine things, we also
create expectations. Dito na nagkakaroon ng dilemma
lalo na kapag ang expectation is far different from reality.

Ang nagiging resulta, we become disappointed. Kapag
disappointed tayo, we feel sad. We feel unhappy.

Kaya hindi rin maiwasan that we make

COMPARISON

You see, our gain is pain to others and the gain of
others is our pain. Parang ayaw natin na nauungusan
tayo.

Parang walang nanalo
at paikot-ikot lang ang mga ito.

At dahil din dito, nalulungkot tayo. We set high
expectations to ourselves instead of being
motivated to do more and to do good.

Mas inuuna pa natin ang ikumpara ang sarili natin
sa iba. So let’s change this kind of practice and
embrace the things that we really have in life.

We should learn from our

PAST EXPERIENCE

We should teach our kids and even ourselves to think
of reality much more than of setting up expectations
