May iba sa atin who subscribe to the notion na once tumapak sa ganitong edad, dapat paghandaan o dapat salubungin in a BIG WAY because we feel that it’s something significant. It’s like, a right of passage.
You can celebrate big events quietly and in a frugal manner.
There’s a whole lot more!
UNNECESSARY EXPENSES
- Pre-debut shoot.
- Gown or dress DURING the event.
- Gown or dress AFTER the event.
- Hotel accommodations.
- Photographer.
- Videographer.
- Souvenirs.
- After-party.
I don’t think so.
Pero if we’re only given a choice between these things or something that she can use as she enters a new phase in her life, go for the second choice.
TIP, imbis na bonggang handaan:
‘Yung matitipid natin o dapat gagastusin, put it in a savings account na nakapangalan sa anak.
Give her an educational plan or a scholarship grant.
PA-IMPRESS
“Minsan lang ‘to. Dapat maganda at sosyal ang venue.”
“Naku! Tiyak, maiinggit ang mga classmates mo.”
“Sige, go lang!
Usually kasi, we focus too much on what people will say about the event.
Dapat:
- Long buffet table, para marami SILANG pagpilian.
Remember, our focus must be on our child and not on other people.
Always consider:
“Ano ba ‘yung makakabuti sa anak ko?”
“Ano ba ‘yung talagang kailangan niya?”
INGGIT
“Bakit ‘yung classmate ko nag-party? Ako, hindi?”
“Bakit kaya nilang maghanda ng ganoon kalaki?”
Alam niyo mga kapatid, ang inggit ang magtutulak sa atin to go beyond our limits or what we can only afford.
Pinipilit lang kasi natin ang isang bagay na hindi naman talaga natin kaya, just to end what we’re currently feeling.
Don’t let this control you.
