Why? Because we seek approval and affirmation. When we please people we have this feeling of fulfillment and significance. Yun nga lang when people reject us, hindi rin maganda ang effect sa atin.
But these are the limitations and realities about wanting to please others all the time:
First truth: WE CANNOT PLEASE EVERYONE
Harsh truth yan.
Yung tama nagiging mali at yung mali nagiging tama. Everytime you try to please others even if you know that what you’re doing is wrong, you risk losing your identity and what you stand for.
Second truth: WE ARE ONLY TO PLEASE GOD, NOT MEN
As long as we are doing what is pleasing to God, we have nothing to worry about.
We don’t want to live our lives na laging naghahabol sa approval at affirmation ng iba. Kung tao lang ang aasahan, you will always get disappointed.
Instead, we should seek winning God’s favor. Our lives should focus on pleasing Him alone. When we do that, hindi lang tayo magwawagi sa buhay, blessings and favors will come.
