Things happen, be it good or bad.
But most of the time, hindi natin masyadong napapansin ang mga magagandang nangyayari sa buhay natin because it is so easy to just focus on the bad.
Kapag may dumating na pagsubok, discouragement easily sets in.
When bad things happen, there is the tendency to react negatively right away – without pausing and reflecting on the bright side.
If you want to stay positive, it is very important to be selective with the memories that we hold on to. Why? Because dwelling on the bad times or bad things can weigh down and dampen the spirits of those around us.
Why should we focus more on the good, not on the bad?
Here are some reasons:
WALA ITONG MAGANDANG MAIDUDULOT.
Kaya, we need to to move on. Yes, there’s a season for everything and we can’t stop it, but we have a choice.
The danger of focusing on the negative episodes in our lives is that we might turn bitter.
Magtatanim tayo ng galit at sama ng loob, which will surely zap our joy and disturb our peace. We will crave for vengeance, magagalit tayo sa mundo, lulungkot ang buhay natin, mawawalan tayo ng pag-asa, hindi tayo magpapatawad, mapapagod tayo, mag-aalala tayo nang mag-aalala, at kung anu-ano pang bad vibes.
It’s really not worth it. We always have a choice. It is never too late to have a change of heart.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
Ano ang mga pinagdaanan mo lately?
Have you tried re-visiting the good things that happened in your life?
Are you focused on the ‘good’ or the ‘bad’?
