“Ok lang ba na mag-resign na ako at lumipat ng ibang trabaho?”
“Mag-business na lang kaya ako kaysa magtrabaho bilang empleyado?”
“Mag-invest na din kaya ako?”
Natatakot ka at hindi ka sigurado sa hakbang na gagawin mo?
Naranasan mo na bang mag-take ng risk, pero pumalya ka?
Any kind of decision, maliit man o malaki, simple man o kumplikado, ay masasabi nating may risk.
Here are five questions I ask myself before I take a risk:
First…
WHAT’S THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN?
Just in case hindi siya nag-work, ano ang mga consequences na pwedeng mangyari?
If you are starting a business and you want to leave your present job, ask yourself these following questions:
“Saan ka kukuha ng panggastos mo on a monthly basis?”
“Ano ang plan B, plan C mo kung hindi ito nag-work?”
Am I teaching you to be negative? Not at all!
Yes, we need to be optimistic. But, we also need to keep it real.
AM I COMMITTED TO IT?
Whatever our decision is, kung hindi tayo fully committed rito, we’ll just be confused. Para bang mental tug-of-war ang eksena. Urong-sulong lang, pero wala namang nararating.
Hindi natin alam kung tayo ba ay babalik sa dati o itutuloy natin no matter what it takes.
Ano man ang piliin natin, make sure na kaya natin itong panindigan. Besides, kahit magkamali man tayo ng desisyon, keep in mind that there’s always a way out.
WHAT AM I WILLING TO GIVE UP?
Hindi tayo pwedeng gumawa ng desisyon kung hindi tayo willing mag-sacrifice or mag-let go ng mga bagay to achieve it.
Halimbawa:
Future growth opportunity at benefits from the company?
In other words, you cannot have a muscular body without exercising.
There will come to a point na kailangan nating magsakripisyo upang makamit ang gusto nating option.
AM I GOING TO HAVE A BETTER LIFE WITH THIS?
Tulad nalang sa recent blog ko about “Travel Now, Pulubi Later”, a person may decide to travel at mag Y.O.L.O. kahit na nganga na lang siya pag-uwi. That’s a risk.
But if we take a closer look, he or she may not be able to live a comfortable life anymore in the future dahil sa utang, pagkawala ng trabaho, o kahirapan sa pagbawi ng nagastos.
So, think about it. Kung sa tingin mo’y malaki ang epekto nito sa kinabukasan natin o hindi pa tayo ganoon ka-handa, DON’T DO IT.
WHAT’S STOPPING ME?
Sabi nga, “When in doubt, STOP.”
Ibig sabihin, kung hindi tayo sigurado dahil may mga bagay na pumipigil sa atin, ipagpaliban muna natin ito – until such time that we’re really sure about it.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
Have you asked yourself these five questions?
Are you willing to take the risk now?
What are you willing to do to arrive at a sure decision?
