Nangyari na ba ito sa iyo? May plano kang gawin, pero hindi nangyari yung plano na ginusto mo.
That is exactly what happened to me today.
I woke up 2am to catch a 4:30am flight going to Cebu via Cebu Pacific Terminal 3. We arrived around 2:30am. We reached the ticketing; presented our identification and plane tickets, but we were informed that our ticket was for PAL and is on Terminal 2. To avoid being late, we took the cab and went straight to Terminal 2. When we arrived there, we were informed the we only have tickets for Cebu to Manila, but we don’t have Manila to Cebu. When we called the organiser, only then we realised that they send two different emails; one email has the Cebu Pacific ticket and the other email has the PAL ticket. Ang na print ko lang yung PAL, but not the other email. The situation costs me an extra P8,500 pesos to buy another ticket.
What are the lessons that I learned?
LESSON 1. NEVER ASSUME
LESSON 2. PREPARE! PREPARE! PREPARE!
If you do not prepare, you are bound to fail. Indeed, yun mismo ang nangyari sa akin. If I had printed and prepared the ticket, I would have seen na kulang yung ticket.
Ganoon din sa buhay, kapag hindi ka naghanda para sa iyong kinabukasan.
Magsisi ka sa huli! May kasabihan na , “Better be prepared, rather than being sorry.”
LESSON 3. DETAILS! DETAILS! DETAILS!
You need to learn how to read the fine print. Excellence is often found in the details.
We cannot ignore the little things because it’s the little things that create the bigger things.
Ganoon din, kailangan mapagmasid tayo. Huwag na yung, ‘pwede na ‘yan attitude.’
One minor mistake can cost you money and time. Never neglect the details.
These are the lessons na natutunan ko and they are costly lessons. I hope you learned from this blog and won’t commit the same mistake; which I did. Take these lessons as tips when you go travelling as well.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
Are you the type of a person na madalas mag-assume at nauuwi sa maling akala?
Are you a type of a person na hindi nakakapag handa?
Are you a type of a person na hindi rin madetalye at umuulit dahil mali ang nagagawa mo?
Anong pagbabago ang ninanais mong pangyari sa buhay mo?
